Sept of the Tower (London)
Caern Leader: 'Mother Board' Totem: Cockroach
Caern Guardian: 'Hard Drive' Secondary Totem: Rat
Theurge: 'On-Line' Location: London (Convent Garden)
'Motherboard': Glass Walker, Philodox, Rank 5, Age 56, 5ft 10’ tall, the lithe and likable leader of the caern, she is a powerful business and the Company Director and the ruling force of the Glasswalker tribe in England. She is also a very successful sept leader, although the Caern is not a huge one, she handles the social, mental and physical challenges very well. 'Motherboard' lacks the physical strength though to compete in high politics and is not a suitable contender for the throne of England. She is very aware of this and makes her play through other means. She has a strong truce with the Camarilla and has some sway and contacts within vampire society, ensuring that there is an amicable (but not always sustained truce) in London. By eliminating the major threat to the caern, she can focus on other issues and the caern has gone from strength to strength. She also has some Mage allies and has proved vital allies for the caern and a strong resistance to the Wyrm. In her time she has relocated and hidden the old caern (a considerable feat) and turned the tide in London. She is aging but still retains her beauty and body, wearing smart red and black clothes, showing obvious power, yet remaining approachable and accessible for younger members. She remains single mindedly focused on the Glass Walker cause. One of the only survivors of the Glass Walker purge of England, she is reputed to have done many low things to ensure her survival and the incident has made her nervous and paranoid as time has gone on. She is rarely seen outside of the caern except at Grand Moots and as the caern take few visitors she is often not seen in garou society. Some caern members call her 'Mother of us all' as one of her titles. It is reputed and rumoured though, she is actually Space-on-Disk's mother and has the closest relationship at caern with her.
'Gigabyte': Glass Walker, Ragabash, Rank 5, Age 35, 5ft 9’ tall, fuzzy black hair, light build and glasses (which he swears he needs). He has a geek stereo-type look of the Glass Walkers but many dread his very name and groan when recounting stories of encounters with him. He is cheeky, tactless, funny, sharp and wholly unattractive and yet strangely popular for most people. He is also a surprising master of the umbra and has a dislike of know-it-all theurges who always seem to want to tell him what spirit is what. He is tolerated at the Sept because of the power he provides and the fact he is so versatile and useful, being useful in many aspects of daily caern life. He has rites, gifts and fetishes, some obscure and not within his tribe, auspice. or breed making him very unusual and 'interesting' He is well aware of this fact and that he is one of the few high ranking ragabash in the UK. 'Gigabyte' dresses in in-appropriate scruffy clothes, being unshaven, with his fly undone for board meetings and is often seen trying to chat up the sectaries. He does get frequent attitude adjustment from 'Motherboard', but this is not really unexpected from a ragabash.
'Speakers': Glass Walker, Galliard, Rank 4, Age 36, 5ft 10’ tall. Short ash blonde hair with some stubble growing on his chin. He has a stocky build with a wispy excuse for a goatee. He is a bit of a loud mouth that can blag a nun into buying condoms and claims that this very skill comes from his Irish ancestry and his troublesome adventures when he went to see the 'Blarney Stone'. Very much a trusted member of the sept and a person who many others confide in and often a keen member who opens the moots with the opening howl. He also has Ratkin and Bone Gnawer connections but rarely leaves the caern and the city life with which he has become accustomed too. He makes an unusual character at other moots if he turns up, always with a variety of new stories that no one has heard about. 'Motherboard' uses this fact sometimes as a trading arrangement with certain caerns. He knows many rites and is the caerns rite master, a position taken from Space-on-Disk nearly 10 years ago, due to her long absences with being part of the active pack. He has a few children, one of which is expected to be garou. Speakers dresses smartly and has a pair of light adjusting spectacles with which he is often cleaning and breathing on.
'Fire Power': Glass Walker, Ahroun, Lupus, Rank 3, Age 26, 5ft 6 tall. A small white wolf with a thick bushy coat of fur and a metallic 'saddle' on his back. Spending most of the time in lupus, this is the caern’s greatest pride and joy.... a Lupus and not only that, but one of the cyber wolves. He is arguably the greatest visual link to the fact that their tribe has some White Howler blood in their past. Fire Power was found a young wolf nine years ago at caern with a ruptured spine in the penumbra with no memory of what happened previosuly. Rather than leaving the wolf to die, they took him to the cyber realm where he was fitted with a mechanical replacement by the Cyber Wolves. Unable to change form to anything but hispo due to his new 'fetish' they also equipped him with twin rotary cannons which fit into his back harness. He had his spine completely replaced and cannot live without his harness and many feel that that would be the better option, however his innocent, 'dog-like' lovable nature makes him so adorable to his homid Glass Walkers sept mates. His innocence borders into stupidity and he has a total obsession with trying to acquire attention. He is treated quite poorly outside of his own sept and is forbidden to enter most caerns and septs (his weaver fetish would not survive the purity of a Gaian caern anyway in the penumbra). He is particularly disliked by the Get-of-Fenris who have had attempts to 'purge the blight of Gaia's warriors'. Fire Power is aware of this opinion of him, but does not understand it and tries relentlessly to make the situation better. His lack of attention and his need of a much larger pack has caused depression to set in and develop into early stages of harano. He is formidable though as a warrior of Gaia and the image of his cannons on full blaze has been seen defending caerns with his pack. 'Fire Power' wears no clothes and is most commonly seen only in the penumbra.
Lu-Tsu says: An abomination of the Weaver that should never have been created, it would have been kinder to put him down at first sight.
Moves-with-Moon says: I have great pity for the weaver (spits the word out) dog. He eats what the monkeys give him, sleeps where the monkeys tell him to, enjoys the monkeys company, truly he has lost the wolf completely. Yet there is still hope. One day he may learn to be Lupus…One day. And I hope to be the one to give him the rite of the winter wolf so he could exit as he entered, A LUPUS.
Damon Wright says: A Garou whom I respect and pity. I personally like firepower. He has strange ideas about rivers but…
Stefan Hein: I met it as we fought for the life of a barely-defended Caern. If I had not been otherwise engaged, I would’ve put the thing out of its considerable misery. Any Garou who lets this creature live has no claim to the title of Garou at all.
'Matt' Gordon Matthew Atherton-Smythe says: Awesome.
'Space-on-Disk': Glass Walker, Theurge, Rank 4, Age 31, 5ft tall 6 tall, short dark hair and stunningly beautiful, a former model and glamour girl before her first change. She is also charming, clever with a sly wit which can border onto tactless with the air of someone who can get away with it regardless. She is not really residential at the caern and wanders around a lot, making her both unreliable as the head theurge so she has had resign her position to keep up her first pack role. 'Space-on-Disk' is one of the most recognisable garou in England and she has frequented almost all of the caerns across England and Europe. Her pack 'The City Streets Pack' is both a troubleshooting group and a political faction that helps organise new Glass Walkers to be taken into roles of caern support across the country. Being so recognisable means there are some pretty mixed opinions about her from troublemaker to saviour. She has many other caern contacts, yet thinks the unification of the tribes a foolish and impossible idea recognising the great diversity and difference in ideologies of the tribes. She is lusted after by many and she is uses this fact like a weapon to ensure she gets her way. Man yhave wanted to mate with her, but she remains sternly unobtainable and despite her sometimes dark actions she upholds the Litany as a code of conduct like a good role-model. She is not without her faults though. She has a very strong opinion and idea of what's right that she'll put in people's face. She hates the Silver Fangs, this hatred is because of one man 'Jean De Grace' who killed her brother, supposedly in a fair challenge, but she tells a different story. Nearly 10 years ago she received a severe injury from a weaver spirit and only just recovering from the near death experience. Still to this date no one can explain why the weaver spirit suddenly turned on her and it has caused much concern at the Sept of the Tower. Space wears professional suits which show her great personal wealth.
Lu-Tsu says: I shall reserve judgement until a later date.
Moves-with-Moon says: Grrrrr! She gets things done, but without much honor. I hope she falls not to the Wyrm.
Damon Wright says: Left Lu-Tsu in the lurch, I never expected it, but I also wasn’t surprised, after all she had said she would beforehand. Not someone I would be happy with watching my back but she can be helpful if she wants to and has been in honest in my dealings with her.
'Matt' Gordon Matthew Atherton-Smythe says: Bitch!
'Hard Drive': Glass Walker, Ahroun, Rank 4, 6ft 1’, Age 33, A large peroxide white hared garou who is clean-shaven and looks somewhat like 'Billy Idol'. He wears shades and remains quietly enigmatic and solemn, being a dark shadow standing behind Space-on-Disk who speaks little. He follows her about much of the time and they are good friends as well as pack mates (though people suggest that he is deeply manipulated by 'Space-on-Disk'. He is deeply in love with her but also follows the Litany code strictly as she does, leaving many guessing about their relationship. It is unsure how long the relationship will last and has nearly ritually killed himself when Space-on-Disk took a kinfolk lover, but despite this the pack has endured for nearly 10 years with only the loss of a few members. There are 3 members of the pack at present, but they are looking for a fourth member of suitable experience and character. Hard Drive was originally pushed to become the warrior elite that the tribe needed in England and maybe even a contestant for the crown of England, although he has let 'Motherboard' down deeply with this. As he developed it became clear he was dark, silent, easily manipulated and with no clear head for leadership and tendency to not try to gain the advantage. She gave up on her attempt to make him a legendary warrior and now uses him as a personal bodyguard for 'Space-on-Disk', her greatest asset. Hard Drive wears black leathers and occasional string vests, and is an attractive but cold garou, loyal and fierce when needed but otherwise a character that could be missed in a large room.
Lu-Tsu says: More of a Get-of-Fenris than a Glass Walker, this man is living proof of the corruption of the Weaver.
'Guns-an-Stuff': Glass Walker, Ahroun, Rank 4, 6ft 1’, Age 37, A ferret of a man often covered with grease and oil stains and with dark stains under his nails and has an occasional facial twitch. He has tremendous contacts and although that changes in governments over the years have made things much harder for him he is still able to get hold of most firearms and equipment for a price. His old Russian contacts have changed to Middle Eastern and American ones and he is now branching into China and has some contacts with the ' Hengeyokai', which have proved extremely valuable with the few remaining 'Old Stargazers' in the country who wish to keep contact. He is also one of the big moneymakers of the caern; gun running for the whole of the garou nation in Great Britain, especially for the Get-of-Fenris and the Fianna. His links are not always credible and there is some discussion that his weapons have also ended up in organised crime for the caern's profit. Several caerns have tried to recruit him or acquire him through one of the personnel changes the caern organises but he has always remained at the Sept headquarters and remains steadfast un-acquirable. He has an intimate relationship with 'Fire Power' and the pair are like master and dog and 'Fire Power' will often sleep in 'Guns and Stuff''s workshop. He even occasionally helps with maintenance of 'Fire Power's' fetishes. He can often be found sipping Baileys and snuggling up to the white wolf in evening times.. He tends to wear overalls and always seems to have some new piece of hardware to play with.
Lu-Tsu says: Glass Walker by name, Shadow Lord by nature.
'On-Line': Glass Walker, Metis, Theurge, Rank 4, 5ft 9’, Age 39, a metis that appears at normal with white fur but when he moves it is clear that he walks with limp and has an inverted hand. The caerns new head theurge and experienced umbral traveller, he still fulfils his old role as advisor on the Cyber Realm and has the title Master of the Rite and is Mother Boards most loyal supporter and body guard. 'On-Line' was originally treated poorly when he arrived but has now been accepted as part of the family of the caern. He is another Garou who will never leave the Sept now and continues to serve loyally. 'On-Line' has an on-line presence for other Glass Walkers but other than that he is rarely seen outside of this caern and such most of the garou world is unaware of him which makes his progress with renown much harder for him. He is often involved with some of the dealings with the vampires as it is much harder for them to control a metis than a human, ensuring a good and strong caern representative. In recent years though this duty has become less so as his main duties as head theurge have taken more of his time up. It is rumoured that the caern is looking for another young metis with vampire experience willing to join the Glass Walkers. He wears whatever Mother Board needs of him but most of the time he will stay in lupus form where his deformity causes less problems for him in general life.
'Data Base': Glass Walker, Philodox, Rank 2, 5ft 11’, Age 26, A grinning disturbing individual (possibly Arabic) who manages to keep an easy peace at the caern with most of the members and is a capable negotatior and diplomat. 'Motherboard' plans him to eventually take a place like 'Space-on-Disk' and provide a new face to the caern. He manages a good relationship with most garou but struggles to deal fairly with 'Fire Power', it appears not all 'Glass Walkers' feel that such a creature should be allowed to continue. He is often used as a voice of reason from the outside world, but he has also had to learn to sometimes bite his tongue on this particular subject matter. First arriving in London as an immigrant, then discovering his heritage as garou, initially as a Star Gazer and later abandoning the tribe when they left the garou world for the East. He is a very effective Philodox and covers all aspects of the role, and may one day even get leadership of the caern and make a more tolerable caern for the garou world. Many of the septs enemies plan for this, for they would rather deal with him than 'Motherboard' herself. 'Mother Board' does not yet see him as a potential threat but does keep a close eye on him. 'Data Base' has a nice character and seems genuine and approachable without a hidden agenda. He was particularly liked at Manchester's 'Sept of the Green' and 'The Caern of the Lost Pups' but his attendance at these caerns has been greatly reduced over the last 5 years. He has a close relationship with 'Choice' and the two have often helped each other. He wears thin suits to hide his wiry body frame, and constantly rubs his hands when excited.
'Snitch': Bone Gnawer, Theurge, Rank 4, 5ft 10’, Age 50, A dirty and smelly tramp with balding round head, who refuses to clean his act up, he appears in his 60’s, wrinkly and crusty and will smoke in many communally areas he is not allowed to smoke in. He is a great investigator though and doesn’t mind hard work and seems quite amenable as long as he is given a fair level of respect. He is in with 'London's City Father and is a capable warrior, despite being a competent theurge. He was a likely candidate for the head theurge position and was probably not selected due to his poorer public relationship skills and also the fact that 'Motherboard' does not entirely trust him. He loves London city very much, openly adores Boris Johnson, Major of London and many of his plans to develop the city. He is a steadfast garou, stubborn, opinionated and won’t move either his ideas even when proven wrong. He is often seen frequenting both this caern and the Bone Gnawer caern where he spent many of his early years and was there during the Glass Walker purge. He never agreed with the purge and moved afterwards to help the stricken tribe. His garou name was from these days and he has been allowed to keep it rather than adopting a 'technical' name. Many of the caern here call him 'Winston' though as an affectionate name and one that he does not mind. He has ensured that the Bone Gnawers have an ear at this caern and that the causal allience between the caerns has remained. If you need information this is your man, just don’t get down wind of him. He wears London memorabilia and may even sport a small plastic flag from time to time while complaining about the weather.
'Virus': Glass Walker, Galliard, Rank 2 (honorary member), 5ft 6’, Age 24, Virus has a reserved space here but is technically not on the roster. She is now acting as head theurge and the caerns Glass Walker in 'Sept of the Mere'. 'Motherboard' and her no longer speak to one another due to a falling out, which no one really understands. She keeps the caern slot open for, as well as a room that has not been changed since she left. Motherboard won't make efforts to fix this issue but leaves the slot open for the young Glass Walker in-case she one day wants to help repair the rift. It is a matter not discussed at caern.
'USB': Glass Walker, unknown (but expected Galliard), Rank: Pup, 5ft 11’, Age 15, USB is a young upcoming garou. The garou world knows little about him, other than his training is under way at the Sept and he is likely to be in attendance at the upcoming Grand Moot.
The Caern: The Caern has stood here since 62 AD, and was once a Silver Fang stronghold. It is now a tall office building on the site of an old Wyrm Caern, hidden by the power of the 'Hidden Glade' rite. Its defences are outstanding making it almost impossible for even uninvited garou to get in. Its fortress firepower and spiritual energy make it an irremovable thorn in the hide of the London’s Wyrm and despite their best efforts the Glass Walkers steadfastly remain clinging on like a relentless limpet. The caern descendents reportedly have some White Howler blood in them from their early years as 'The Warders of Man' there connection with the White Howlers was strong and they exchanged members to hold this allience. Years meant that some blood became mixed and though the Glass Walkers have no pure breed of their own, they adopted some from the now fallen tribe. This has brought them disrespect amongst many of the garou in England who now do not trust the Glass Walkers particularly anyway being so smitten with the Weaver. In the 1980's the native population of the Glass Walkers was wiped out in a 'purge' when the Glass Walkers began to show real potential threat to the main tribes of the country. The Shadow Lords and the Get led the charge and many of the members were brutally murdered by their adopted septs. The paranoia is still about among those that remember those days and steadily the Glass Walkers have built up their power base almost to the levels before the slaughter. 'Motherboard' is trying many things to restore the caern to its former prestige and as a power base in England and at the same time to ensure this time that the 80's purge does not happen again. Some of the methods she uses are not helping the caern although she gets peer respect amongst the Shadow Lords. The active pack from this caern, Space-on-Disk, Hard-Drive, Firepower and Guns-an-Stuff are well known amongst the other caerns in Britain and are being used as the main way of restoring the prestige at the caern and the 'City Streets' pack is often involved directly helping many of the many problems that occur in the garou world.
Visitors: None. Only a few Silent Striders have been honoured with attendance at this sept and always blindfolded when taken there. Only Glass Walkers and a few allied Bone Gnawers are allowed in and ones that have sworn some degree of loyalty to the caern. The City itself seems to help hide the caern from unwanted visitors. This very fact makes the caern very unpopular at Grand moots when 'Motherboard' is always asked to explain herself.
